Why are Pell grants the most desired types of financial aid awards? How is it different to student loans?

Federal Pell Grants are usually desired due to the fact that people can just receive the needed money to attend college without worrying about paying it back. The student’s college education is paid by the federal government. It is also important to understand that not every applicant is eligible for this type of grant. On the other hand, student loans require payments after several months with lower interest rates.

Pell grant are basically free in which you don't have to pay back but, you are required to keep a GPA of 2.5 or higher. You are required to not miss to many days and if you drop any classes and not take another one then you will obligated to pay the money back.

How interesting. I have never heard of a Pell Grant. Where would a person apply for this type of grant?

Pell Grants are awarded usually only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's or a professional degree. Although there are already some new incentives and options in the Pell Grant financial aid funds. And this is not only limited to a college student, but this is an advantage for moms or single moms who are returning to school.

Pell Grants are very attractive because you do not that to pay them back. Plus, they are a good way of cutting out some out of pocket fees.

Do pell grants usually cover all of your school fees? Can they also cover other school-related fees that are not directly from the school? (supplies, etc.)
